THE SPACE BETWEEN: WEEK3

Light to dark custom textures

Three curved lines with one orientation

The sharp part of rhombus touched the top and bottom part so it is kind of inverted  (the last one should be the the lightest)

Fluid spaces with some organic form

Innovative, it looks speed up when its daker

Some irregular shapes come out from the dark area which represent the process of extension

free form shape

Chosen textures (with photoshop):

Light Rail Stop

Concepts: Fluid spaces + inverted +  technology

The urban area has no walls but only curved stairs (Kazuyo Sejima) with grass platform that allow people to interact with surrounding nature (Oscar Niemeyer) and access the stop.

The stop area is an inverted free form (Oscar Niemeyer) that divided by three levels, two upper floors for different light rail direction and ground level for other transportation.

Glass on the roofs which let natural light goes in (Oscar Niemeyer) .

Staircase with free form access to the recess area on the second level. The part underneath also provided shading .

These are columns to support the staircase. CPL LED lights are inserted in the concave part. Small rounded CPL LED lights are inbuilt too. (technology approach)

Futuristic bench and chairs which made by glass (technology approach).  Inspired by the "MURENA BENCH".

Light rail stop in lumion:

The light fluid organic form texture was put on the futuristic chair and bench.  It match the shape of it and also lighter the surrounding environment as the materials are already heavy.

This dark texture is chosen since it shows the state of speed up which approach the innovative concept. Also it matches the feature a modern railway : high-speed.

The sharp part of rhombus touched the top and bottom part so it present the concept of inverted and upside down
